"DJ KAYGEE" Is the Final product of two decades of DJing experience mixed in with a deep rooted commitment to the Music. I grew up in a home where music was the center piece of every table, so to speak. You would not go one day with out at least humming or tapping out your favorite beat or hook. As cliche as it may sound, like a lot of well known musicians, I got my first taste of DJing in church. Yes sir! St Pauls Baptist church is where I learned more of the technical pieces and timing for live music production. It was In the late 90's and I was still in grad school and I had a big job to que up the music for the choir and make smooth transitions in and out of the service. I remember even back then getting butterflies hoping I don't mess up. Thankfully back then I was just the copilot. My Father also is a DJ and really showed me and gave me a lot of the confidence I needed to get started. I would tag along with him to his gigs and watch his every move amazed by effortless transitions and blends. At first I would tag along for a little extra cash and to hang out with pops until one day it hit me! I knew that this is something I want to do when I witness a monumental shift in energy in the room. Record after record I saw the atmosphere transform in a supernatural way that I could feel the elation! I could not believe it the crowd that was coming in seemed a bit grumpy about the food the venue was not well decorated and yet they danced all night and had a great time! At just 13 I knew that it the kind of impact I want to have on people. Since then I have DJ'ed at countless events from local bars to working high profile VIP events with numerous celebrities. I treat them all the same and I aim to uplift everyone and provide a world class experience.
